Frequently Asked Questions

Pharmacy technicians conduct the more basic, repetitive activities of preparing prescription medicines for patients, such as counting pills, putting medicines in containers, labeling, and packing, after a pharmacist checks a doctor’s prescription for errors or potential problems.

But some people use a separate container–such as a 7-day pill box–to help keep track of their drug usage. While this is perfectly fine at home, it may carry certain legal risks while traveling. Some states specifically forbid carrying prescription drugs in a “generic” or unlabeled container.

The RM1 is a powerful, vision-based tablet counter designed to quickly and accurately count solid oral medications without having to calibrate. As prescription volumes grow, stress on your team increases and medication errors frequently occur along with customer frustration as they wait.
